Concentration target (reference phantom)

 75.00

A calibrated concentration target, based on ICG dissolved in human serum albumin (HSA). The phantom mimics in vivo fluorescence under physiological binding conditions, ensuring clinically relevant optical properties for clinical and preclinical imaging.

The reference scale covers a concentration range from 0.01 µM to 10 µM, aligning with the typical dynamic range of ICG used in medical applications.

Applications include:

  • Ex vivo tissue imaging: Enabling signal comparison and intensity estimation on excised tissue samples or models.

  • System sensitivity studies: Supporting characterisation and validation of fluorescence imaging systems, including camera sensitivity, linearity, and limit of detection.

  • Protocol development: Assisting researchers in optimizing ICG dosing and imaging parameters for new applications.

  • Standardized reporting: Providing a consistent reference for image documentation, multi-center and inter-lab comparisons.

Custom concentration ranges or formulations are available upon request to meet specific experimental or clinical needs.

This reference target provides an ideal solution for evaluating the dye concentration in specimens or sensitivity of fluorescence imaging systems.

It is specifically designed to simulate ICG fluorescence while accounting for tissue-like optical properties. Using this target, you can accurately determine your system’s linear response range, as well as estimate the noise floor and saturation threshold.

Absofi has patented the technology behind printing calibrated reference standards

Complementary to the target, Absofi has developed software that enables precise quantification of fluorescent specimens and visualising these as heat maps. These specimens are imaged alongside the reference standard (calibration card) to ensure accurate and consistent measurements.
